
How to participate in the
Hackathon OdiseIA4Good 2026?
Participating in the OdiseIA4Good Hackathon is very simple.
You don't need prior hackathon experience; what matters is your motivation to use artificial intelligence to transform lives.
Here we tell you how to do it!
01 | Sign up

Access the registration form at www.odiseia4good.org/en/inscripción.

Fill in the basic details: who you are, your profile (student, professional, NGO, etc.), the title of your project, etc.​​

​​¡Remember!: You can sign up alone or in team of up to 8 people.

Please attach a brief description of your idea, indicating:
-
Which vulnerable group would you like to assist.
-
What problem have you identified.
-
How do you propose to solve it with artificial intelligence.
-

Attach a representative image of your project (can be generated with AI or be royalty-free).

During registration, you must indicate the current stage of development of your project and your desired outcome:
-
Level 1 – Identification of the challenge and the vulnerable group, preliminary design of the proposal, including a business plan.

Level 2 – Creation of an interactive prototype or mock-up representing the solution, without the need for functional implementation.
-
Level 3 – Definition of the technological structure of the solution, including AI integration and development roadmap.

Level 4 – Development of an operational prototype using simulated or test data, demonstrating the viability of the solution.

Level 5 – Implementation of an AI model trained with datasets, with initial results supporting functionality.

Level 6 – Development of a fully operational solution, with integrated AI, functional user interface, and application capability.​

💡 You don't need to have the project finished; what we're looking for is social impact and growth potential. All you need is a clear, well-thought-out idea.
02 | Awaiting the selection of finalists

January 20, 2026: Registration Closing Date.
-
January 21-25, 2026: The jury will evaluate all projects.

January 26, 2026: You will receive an email confirming whether your proposal has been selected as a finalist.
💡 If you're not a finalist, you'll also receive feedback and your waitlist position in case a finalist drops out.
03 | Experience the Grand Final in Person
If your project is selected, you will participate in the in-person Grand Final in Madrid (Espacio Pablo VI) or in the OdiseIA4Good Connect option if you are outside Europe, and you will begin a preparation phase prior to the grand final.
During this pre-registration period you will receive:

Personalized online mentoring to strengthen your idea.

Virtual workshops on social innovation, AI, and entrepreneurship.
-
Strategic guidance to help you reach Madrid (or Connect) with a solution ready to make an impact.
In the grand finale:

You will work with the mentors during both days of the grand final to perfect your solution before the final evaluation.

The third day will feature the final evaluation and elevator pitch presentation.

Evaluation Criteria:
SELECTION OF FINALISTS
The jury reviews and evaluates the projects according to the following criteria:

Innovation (30%): Degree of novelty of the proposal, originality in the use of artificial intelligence and differentiation from existing solutions.

Social impact (30%): Potential of the solution to improve the quality of life of the vulnerable group it is aimed at.
-
Technical feasibility (20%): Coherence of the technical design, feasibility of implementation and quality of the prototype or project description.
-
Clarity and quality of presentation (20%): Ability to convey in an understandable manner the objectives, the proposed solution and its expected impact.
Each project will be scored out of a total of 100 points , and projects will be ranked from highest to lowest. All projects that obtain a score equal to or greater than 60 will be eligible to advance to the in-person grand final.
Depending on the score and the total number of participants, between 15 and 25 projects will be selected for the grand finale . The projects selected as finalists will receive official notification, along with recommendations and guidance to strengthen their proposals, and will begin the preparation phase for the finale. The remaining candidates will receive their position on the waiting list.
Evaluation Criteria:
SELECTION OF WINNERS
During the in-person grand finale, the finalists present their solutions to the jury in two stages, including a prototype demonstration and an elevator pitch . Evaluation at this stage discards previous scores and is governed by the following method:

Prototype demonstration in front of the jury (25%): On day three, the jury will tour each team's work area to evaluate the prototype's functionality and integration of artificial intelligence. The evaluation criteria are:

Actual operation of the prototype (35%).

Level of development achieved (30%).
-
Effective integration of AI (25%).
-
Technical and creative originality (10%).
-

Evaluation by social entities (25%): Third sector organizations and social impact experts will evaluate the relevance, applicability and effectiveness of the solutions for vulnerable groups.

Social relevance for the vulnerable group (35%).
-
Applicability and feasibility of implementation (30%).
-
Inclusion and accessibility (25%).
-
Expected direct impact (10%).

Elevator pitch to the jury (40%): Each team will deliver a brief and persuasive presentation, highlighting innovation, social impact, technical feasibility, and scalability potential.

Technical implementation and functional prototype (10%).

Open Voting (10%): Three weeks prior to day three of the grand final, the general audience, including participants and online audiences, will be able to vote for the solutions they consider most relevant and innovative via LinkedIn (participants and teams will be able to encourage their friends and family to vote).
The final result will be obtained by assigning each project a score out of 100 , calculated according to the methods and weighting described above. The projects will be ranked from highest to lowest, and based on this ranking, six prizes will be awarded to the teams with the highest overall scores.
