About the event
OdiseIA is proud to be part of the launch of the Communities of Practice to Promote Equality in the Digital Environment (COPID) project, whose presentation event will take place on October 11, 2024 at the ONCE Foundation Auditorium in Madrid. This project seeks to promote equal rights in the digital environment, an area that requires urgent attention to ensure that all people, regardless of their abilities, have the same opportunities and access.

The agreement signed by Red.es , ONCE Foundation, the Carlos III University of Madrid and OdiseIA seeks to promote the implementation of the Digital Rights Charter in the field of equality rights in the digital environment. Its objective is to guarantee equal access to technologies, non-discrimination and the elimination of digital gaps, focusing on issues such as universal accessibility and training in digital skills. OdiseIA, as part of the agreement, works to ensure the ethical use of artificial intelligence in this context.
The COPID project is structured around the thematic axes established in the Charter of Digital Rights related to equality. These axes include the right to equality and non-discrimination in the digital environment, the right to access the Internet, the protection of children and adolescents in the digital environment, universal accessibility in the digital environment, and gaps in access to the digital environment. In each of these axes, communities of experts are being developed that will work on specific proposals, both legislative and non-legislative, to promote these rights.
OdiseIA is actively participating in this effort, contributing its expertise in the ethical use of artificial intelligence applied to each of the different areas. During the event, Fabián García Pastor will participate in the official presentation of the project, as well as in the presentation of the axis on the right of access to the Internet. Likewise, Maite Sanz de Galdeano will participate in the presentation of the axes dedicated to the rights to equality and non-discrimination and to the protection of children and adolescents in the digital environment, while Patricia Llaque Gálvez will do so with the area related to gaps in access to the digital environment.
This event is a unique opportunity to discuss how to build an inclusive and accessible digital environment, ensuring that technology and artificial intelligence tools do not create barriers, but rather drive equality.
The event will have a hybrid format, allowing for both in-person and streaming participation. For more information and to register, please follow the link below: REGISTER HERE.
Don't miss this opportunity to be part of the change towards a fairer and more inclusive digital environment!
